The women's Mizuno Wave Rider 24 Waveknit is an update to one of the best-selling running shoes on the market, and it delivers a new upper on top of an upgraded ride.
Mizuno this year updated the Wave Rider for a slightly softer feel. Designers used a new foam composition, called Enerzy foam, to create cushier landings and smoother transitions.
The Waveknit upper creates a sock-like fit that adapts to your unique foot shape. It also gives the shoe a modern look that won’t feel out of place on your long run or at the coffee shop.
Mizuno also changed the shape of its signature Wave Plate when it updated the Wave Rider 24. The new plate is a little flatter than in previous models, giving it greater contact with your foot to help better disperse the impact of landing.
Even though the Rider has a softer step than last year, longtime fans of the shoe will appreciate that it still provides a firm ride overall and responsive pop off the forefoot.
In the Mizuno Wave Rider 24 review, Fleet Feet runners say the accommodating fit and reliable ride make the newest Rider a hit.
